Last month news came that Grammy-winning duo La Roux had whisked themselves off to the English countryside to record their second album. To tide fans of the synth enthusiasts over, singer Elly Jackson shot a brief but comical cameo for the second episode of the new series of Absolutely Fabulous. It already aired overseas on BBC (the new season hits the States on Logo this Sunday, January 8), and thanks to the Internet, you can watch below!
Jackson sings alongside Edeina (Jennifer Saunders) in a fantasy sequence at the Royal Albert Hall. Longtime fans of the show may recall their song, “Walking Down The Road”, from 2003 AbFab episode “Schmoozin’”, where Edina accidentally records over a lost Beatles tape. Disaster, sweetie darling!
Elly’s bit comes in at about the 13:10 mark.
Also appearing in the episode, titled “Job”, are Lulu and Spice Girls’ Emma Bunton, who reprise their roles as Edina’s reluctant PR clients.
