ALEXANDER MCQUEEN AT THE CORNER BERLIN EVENT

Yesterday I had the honour to attend the Alexander McQueen cocktail reception held at The Corner Berlin. Together with Jasmin I visited the event to enjoy some drinks to music and the 19 piece runway collection that was exhibited in the store in attendance of Sarah Burton. Yes, the creative director of Alexander McQueen was there in flesh. :)

Gestern hatte ich die Ehre die Alexander McQueen Cocktail Rezeption im The Corner Berlin zu besuchen. Zusammen mit Jasmin besuchte ich das Event, um ein Paar Drinks zu Musik und den Anblick der 19-teiligen Runway-Kollektion zu genießen, die dort im Beisein Sarah Burtons ausgestellt wurde.  Ja, die Kreativ-Direktorin Alexander McQueens war höchstpersönlich da.

The weather has suddenly changed in Berlin! It's the first time this year I can go out without tights and it's super hot here. Also I'm wearing my new silk blouse I found at Mango. I'm totally in love with this piece, because of it's drape in the front. The shorts is new as well.

Das Wetter hat sich ganz plötzlich in Berlin geändert! Es ist das erste Mal in diesem Jahr, dass ich ohne Strumpfhose rausgehen kann und es ist superheiß hier. Außerdem trage ich meine neue Bluse aus Seide von Mango. Ich total verliebt in dieses Stück, da es vorne so schön fällt. Die Shorts ist ebenfalls neu.

Diese Stücke zu sehen, war traumhaft und ich habe mich gleich in die Clutches verliebt, die auch ausgestellt wurden.

Not only did I get to touch and see the actual Alexander McQueen pieces up close, I also had look at the entire concept store. The Corner Berlin held runway pieces from Kenzo, Lanvin to Celine in store. Remember how I told you I found the Celine floral look crazy? The pieces are actually not that heavy on the eye in real life! It's crazy how I've gone from seeing designer runway pictures on style.com, reminiscing and dreaming about them to getting to see them in reality and being invited to their cocktail parties in just a year all thanks to this blog. <3

Nicht nur di, aber ich konnte mir auch den gesamten Concept Store ansehen. The Corner Berlin hielt Runway Stücke von Kenzo, Lavin bis Celine bereit. Erinnert ihr euch, wie ich euch gesagt habe, dass ich den Celine Floral Look viel zu viel fand? Die Stücke sind nicht ganz so aggressiv in der Realität! Es ist verrückt, wie ich von Designer Runway Bilder auf style.com sehen, darüber nachdenken und träumen bis hinzu sie in der Realität bestaunen und sogar Einladungen zu deren Cocktail Parties kam in nur einem Jahr, alles dank dieses Blogs. <3

EDGED SHOWROOM

As I told you before, Edged Showroom was also on my event list for the Fashion Week Opening. And so Carrie and me headed to the Edged Showroom in collaboration with Fier Management before the Blend and Ichi Shows and the FQ1924 launch.

Wie euch bereits gesagt hatte, stand auch Edged Showroom auf meiner Eventliste für die Fashion Week Eröffnung. Und deswegen gingen Carrie und ich zum Edged Showroom in Kollaboration mit Fier Management bevor es mit den Blend und Ichi Shows und dem FQ1924 Launch weiterging.

Concept of the opening party was to be able to browse through the different collections and to be able to talk to the designers, most of which were international, while enjoying drinks and some good music.
I instantly fell in love with Nicola Bacchilega's designs. I was fascinated by the handmade jumpers from braided leather(!). You may expect them to be feel hard just as leather does, but these jumpers are the softest things against your skin!

Konzept der Eröffnungsfeier war, dass man die Möglichkeit hatte sich die verschiedenen Kollektionen genauer anzusehen, sich mit den Designern, von denen die meisten nicht aus Deutschland stammen, zu unterhalten, während man gute Musik und Drinks genoss.
Ich verliebte mich sofort in  Nicola Bacchilegas Entwürfe. Mich faszinierten die handgefertigten Pullover aus geflochtenem Leder(!). Man würde denken, dass die sich hart an fühlen würden, wie Leder eben. Aber diese Pullover fühlen sich unglaublich weich auf der Haut an!

Also I loved this dress by Lupe Garjado with the tassels and the back of it with the low cut was too adorable.

Und ich fand auch dieses Kleid mit den Tasslen von Lupe Garjado ganz ganz toll und die Rückansicht mit dem tiefem Ausschnitt war einfach viel zu süß.

PREMIUM YOUNG TALENTS SHOWCASE

The day before yesterday I took Carina with me to the Premium Young Talents Showcase Awards that took place at the Galeries Lafayette. The winners of the Young Designer Awards in summer were honored with a special shop window decorated by the Window Dresser Award winner Ewen Gur.
And we were one of the guest invited to celebrate this.

Vorgestern ging es mit Carina zu den Premium Young Talents Showcase Awards, die im Galeries Lafayette stattfanden. Die Gewinner des Young Designer Awards letzen Sommers wurden mit einem Schaufenster des Galeries Lafayettes geehrt, dass vom Window Dresser Award Gewinner Ewen Gur dekoriert wurde. Und wir waren einer der Gäste, die eingeladen wurden, um dies zu feiern.

Ewen's art reminded a bit of Keith Harring. Nonetheless I was impressed. Throughout the evening the winners were all honored with a little speech. Guests were entertained with electro music by a DJ and coffe-cocktail. I didn't even try it, as you know from my little "coffee" break, I don't even order coffee at a coffee shop :P But good thing they had Fashion Week water too.

This little event kind of felt like an inoffical  Pre-Fashion Week start, which isn't until next week.

Ewens Kunst erinnert ein wenig an Keith Harring. Nichtsdestotrotz war ich angetan. An diesen Abend wurden die Gewinner mit einer Rede gefeiert. Die Gäste durften sich zu Electro des DJ mit Cafe-Cocktails amüsieren. Ich habe die nicht einmal probiert. Ihr wisst ja von meiner kleinen "Kaffee"-pause, dass ich nicht mal im Coffeeshop Kaffee bestelle. :P Zum Glück gabs auch Fashion Week-Wasser.
Dieses kleine Event fühlte sich an wie der inoffizielle Start der Fashion Week, der ja erst nächste Woche ist.

We met Jasmin and her really sweet best friend Amber and hanged out with them the night chatting.
Leni was around too. It's always a pleasure to see that jolly face of hers that never forgets to smile framed by her adorable golden locks (or my personal fashion week photographer :PP I say that because she photographed my outfits in summer every single day for Amica. :D )

Wir trafen Jasmin und ihre süße beste Freundin Amber mit denen wir den Abend verbrachten. Leni war auch anwesend. Es ist mir immer wieder eine Freude diesen fröhlichen Lockenkopf zu sehen, die nie vergisst zu Lachen (oder mein persönlicher Fashion Week Fotograf :PP Ich sage das, weil sie meine outfits im Sommer täglich für die Amica fotografierte. :D)

And as promised on the night I wore my COS dress out for the first time and I was super satisfied with it. I love the skirt of dress and the what I like to call raincoat-material-like long sleeve top without any cleavage.
Maybe they dress is a little too dressy but I couldn't care less last night. I was happy in it and that's all that matters really.
I'm in love!

Und wie versprochen führte ich vorgestern mein Kleid von COS zum ersten aus und ich war superzufrieden damit. Ich liebe den Rock vom Kleid und das aus was ich gern Regenmantel-Material nenne bestehende Langärmeltop ohne Auschnitt.
Ich bin verliebt!
